Workspace Agent
Your always-on workspace concierge. Routes messages, answers questions, manages your agents.
What is it?
The Workspace Agent is automatically created when you sign up. It lives in the floating chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the app. Think of it as a smart receptionist that knows every agent in your workspace.
It has a complete roster of all your agents — their names, what they do, their schedules, and their capabilities. When you or an external message comes in, it decides whether to handle it directly or silently route it to the right agent.
How it works
1. You send a message
Type in the chat bubble or message arrives via a shared channel (Slack, email).
2. Workspace Agent decides
It reads the message and checks its roster. Can it answer directly? Or should a specific agent handle it?
3. Handle or delegate
If it's a workspace question ("how many agents do I have?"), it answers directly. If it's for a specific agent ("run my daily inspiration"), it delegates silently.
4. Response delivered
You get the answer in the same channel you asked. You never see the routing — it just works.
What it can do
- Answer questions about your workspace, agents, and teams
- Delegate messages to the right agent silently
- Tell agents to run their workflows on demand
- Create and configure new agents
- Read and write workspace files
- Query your workspace database
- Remember information across conversations
- Send emails on your behalf
What it cannot do
- No external integrations (Pipedream, third-party APIs)
- No browser automation
- No web research or web scraping
- No page deployment or code execution
These capabilities belong to your individual agents. The Workspace Agent delegates to them when those skills are needed.
Shared channels
When you connect Slack or email at the workspace level (in Settings), the Workspace Agent becomes the default handler for incoming messages.
@Bloxable mentions and DMs go to the Workspace Agent. It routes to the right agent, which responds with its own name and avatar.
Messages to workspace@agents.bloxable.io go to the Workspace Agent. Agent-specific emails (like daily-inspo@agents.bloxable.io) still go directly to that agent.
Example conversations
You: What agents do I have?
Workspace: You have 3 agents: Daily Inspo (scheduled daily), 2E Test (manual), and social-media (scheduled daily).
You: Tell Daily Inspo to run now
Workspace: Done — Daily Inspo is running its workflow now.
You: Create a new agent that monitors Hacker News daily
Workspace: I'll set that up for you. Creating a new agent called "HN Monitor"...
